QUESTÃO 01
Top Soccer Superstitions
Every sport in the world has its list of rituals and superstitions that
go along with it. Football is in no way excluded from this. As the world’s most
popular sport, there are potentially more superstitions in soccer than any
other sport.
Let’s take a look at the top superstitions in the soccer world.
Same Seats: If the seating arrangement on the travel bus
or plane results in a victory, it is customary to keep the same seats the next
trip in many clubs’ views.
Lucky Beard: In the United States, it is referred to as a
“playoff beard,” but the custom of keeping a lucky beard for the duration of a
long run is universal throughout the footballing world.
Bald Players: The custom of rubbing the shaved head of a
teammate for good luck goes deep into history, and is going nowhere soon. On a
famous note, current French National team coach Didier Deschamps kissed the
head of his teammate Fabian Barthez for good luck before matches in the 1998
World Cup, which the French won.
Last to Dress: Some players, Neymar Jr included, like to be
the last player out of the locker room when they are preparing for a match.
Smelly Socks: One of the most common superstitions that
can be seen – or smelled – in world football is players not washing or changing
their “winning” socks.
Never Mind the Underwear: Another famous ritual,
aside from not changing socks, is also unfortunately not changing
undergarments. I’ll leave the rest of that one for the imagination.

QUESTÃO 02
Astrology is generally defined as the belief that astronomical
phenomena, like the stars overhead when you were born or the fact that Mercury
is in retrograde, have the power to influence the daily events in our lives and
our personality traits. This is, of course, very different from the study of
astronomy, ___ is the scientific study of celestial objects, space, and the physics of
the universe.
Clearly, lots of people are looking for ways to interpret the stars for
advice. Those ___ believe in astrology think it is based on old and established
scientific principles. But is there any science to back up whether astrology
impacts our personality and our lives? Here’s the short answer: No. None
whatsoever.
However, reading the horoscope predictions continues to be a very
popular habit ___ millions of people cannot do without. As astrophysicist Carl Sagan once
said, “Every newspaper in the world has a daily column on astrology. Not a
single newspaper carries even a weekly column on astronomy.”

QUESTÃO 05
The women’s struggle to have their rights respected around the world is
far from being a new trend. The earliest Woman’s Day observance was held on
February 28th, 1909 in New York, but of course women have been fighting for
their rights for much longer than that. German activists decided to hold an
International Women’s Day on March 8th, 1914, for no apparent reason other than
it was a Sunday. Nowadays, International Women’s Day commemorates womanhood in
many countries of the world, while being practically ignored in others. In some
countries where the date is not a holiday, women are being encouraged to take
the day off from paid and unpaid labour, refrain from shopping, and wear red.
