LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Little Red Riding
Hood walked a long way to her Grandmother’s house every day. One day her mother
asked her to go there early in the morning, so she fetched
her basket, packed it with fruit and candy, and skipped
on her way to the forest. She picked a few flowers, jumped
a puddle or two and relaxed a little on the way,
when a Big Bad Wolf dressed up as an angel
surfaced from behind the bushes and talked
her out of taking the path by the river.
Little Red Riding
Hood hummed as she strolled along the path of the forest. She loved
this path, and preferred it to the one along the river, but her mother
had warned her it was dangerous, as a wolf lived in the area. She worried
about the fact that she had disobeyed her mother, but she feared
no wolf. Meanwhile, the wolf had hurried to Grandmother’s house and
arrived there before Little Red. Grandmother opened the door and
was appalled to see a wolf standing there. The wolf devoured
Grandmother and prepared himself to attack Little Red.
The wolf pretended he was
Grandmother and invited Little Red in. When Little Red noted that his eyes, ears, nose and mouth were too big, the
wolf assaulted her.
She shouted and
expected to be
heard by someone. A hunter decided to check what that noise was all about. He hunted down the wolf, wounded him and defended Little Red. The
little girl almost fainted with joy when she saw that her grandmother was alive inside the wolf, and
she understood that her disobedience resulted in something terrible. She decided
never to disobey her mother again.
