The Azure
Window was a 28-meter-tall natural limestone arch on the island of Gozo, Malta.
It was known as one of Malta’s major tourist attractions. The arch, together
with other natural features in the area, has appeared in several productions,
including the Game of Throne’s first episode. The formation was created
by the collapse of a sea cave. After decades of natural erosion, parts of the
arch fell into the sea in stormy weather on March 8th 2017.
